TLA 2018-19

The supplies are finally in! Supplies for what you may ask? Supplies for the TLA of course! TLA (Thematic Learning Activity) is EMIT’s annual team project. This year EMIT students are tasked with designing and launching a rocket and rover with the intent of reaching Mars and collecting a water sample. For the past two months students have been hard at work designing and refining blueprints for the task.

Students met every Tuesday and Friday in CAT to discuss details concerning design while also looking at the presentation aspect of the TLA. We are currently in build phase. Materials and supplies were restricted so our students have been working hard to overcome that challenge. But, we have faith in our EMIT students. We’re pretesting starting December 3rd, and we believe we can reach new heights. Let’s soar to Mars!
