Our Students

The students serve as the heart and soul of EMIT and here we like to spotlight the variety of talented and skilled students who have gone through EMIT in either the past or who are enrolled in our program as of today. These students have accomplished many things over the years and many have gone on to college of high prestige and some into even more prestigious careers.

MICHEAL CASTILLO

Micheal is a former student of the EMIT program and a great at that. He was a prominent member of the EMIT Family as well as that of Forest High School. He was involved in almost everything at Forest from football to even being nominated for Mr. FHS but there was nothing he seemed to care about more than EMIT. He was a leader in every sense of the word when it came to EMIT and an even better student. He worked tireless within FIRST Robotics as the team captain of design, as well as on projects like the Project TALOS Exo-Skeleton and the Thematic Learning Activities. When time came for graduation, Micheal had both the options of Notre Dame and MIT thanks to his exceptional attributes as a student and an innovator. Micheal chose that of MIT and is now a Sophomore within their engineering program.

MAXINE MOORE

Maxine is an alumni of the EMIT program who is now a engineering technician for the city of Ocala. During her time at Forest and within EMIT she was an active student who was known for being a huge drafting advocate. She enjoyed the family that EMIT created and participated in through her work with the spirit team within FIRST Robotics. She was also active within the Forest band program as a part of the color guard. Within EMIT, she worked hard and gained merit as a student, eventually graduating and going of to the Florida Institute of Technology. Following her studies she returned to Ocala and continued her technical education while also becoming involved with the city of Ocala, working within the storm water division to this day.

ERIC MOSHER

Eric is part of the EMIT program alumni. He graduated the year 2012 and decided to study in the College of Central Florida before transitioning to the University of Florida. Currently he works for a company called Architecture Studio, Inc. as a cad technician.
